Chocolate Diamonds and Engagement Rings

Chocolate diamonds are one of the most sought after gemstones in the 21st century.  Why?  If you have ever seen one, you would not have to ask why.  The beautiful, rich chocolate brown color in these diamonds is very elegant, and they just seem to glow from within.  What should you know about them before you shop? Chocolate brown diamonds are the most common color diamonds found.  They are mined mostly in Australia.  And even though Australia has been known for gold mines and gold jewelry, one third of all diamonds now come from Australia, and roughly 80% of those are chocolate diamonds.  Until recently, brown diamonds were not used extensively in jewelry.  Some brown diamonds are turned into lighter colors, including champagne and yellow, as well as clear diamonds. It would be wise to ask about the origin of any colored diamonds you wish to buy, as treated ones should not cost as much as natural colored diamonds.

After a long history of designing art and jewelry with gemstones, a European family named Le Vian began creating jewelry with brown diamonds in 2001.  The gorgeous, rich brown diamonds reminded them of the beautiful brown color of chocolate, and so they began marketing their diamond jewelry as chocolate diamonds.  The Le Vian Company produces many haute couture jewelry pieces costing thousands of dollars that have been worn by the likes of Hillary Swank and Demi Moore on the red carpet.  After seeing the beautiful couture pieces, many women began asking for chocolate diamonds in fashion jewelry collections.

If you think you can’t afford chocolate diamonds, think again.  Couture jewelry is always very expensive, and is only worn by the rich and famous to promote jewelry designer’s collections.  You can find very affordable and beautiful chocolate brown diamond jewelry starting in the $300 to $500 range.  The great thing about brown diamonds is the fact that they look so pretty with all kinds of other jewelry, like a diamond cushion cut engagement ring done in yellow gold, or even a lovely 14K gold Pandora charm bracelet.  Rose gold is used quite often with chocolate diamonds also, and so if you are a fan of rose gold, you should definitely check out some of those designs.

Shopping online for chocolate diamonds is an easy way to find them, because many brick and mortar stores don’t carry them yet.  If you can find one to look at in person, I would recommend doing that.  I have a feeling you will fall in love with them as I have, since they are absolutely gorgeous. Looking At Jewelry Storage Options

There comes a time in life when a woman finds her jewelry collection deserves something a bit more proper to be held in then just whatever storage box or drawer it currently finds itself in. When it comes to jewelry storage, there are entire industries built up around providing different solutions – where is a girl to start?

In large part, how you store your jewelry depends on how much money you want to throw at a storage solution. In this article we’ll look at some methods for holding a jewelry collection at all price levels in order to provide a wide array of solutions and options for anyone reading this article.

Probably the most common and yet expensive way to store jewelry is to use what’s called a jewelry armoire. While you can find what’s probably best described as a cheap armoire from places like Target or JCPenney, a Powell jewelry armoire is a more respectable brand, being that their products are simply of higher quality.

A similar product or method is that of the jewelry chest. This can range from a small chest suitable for a small collection on up to a large jewelry chest that can hold a museums worth of necklaces and rings! Jewelry chests often are designed with elaborate finishes and really “stand out” in their decoration. They are also quite expensive!

A cheaper option that’s basically the same in function but different in the materials used is to store your things in a jewelry box. A jewelry box isn’t necessarily made of real wood and the design isn’t too elaborate. These jewelry boxes also tend to be rather small in size. This makes them an inexpensive and affordable solution to holding jewels.

Between a solid wood jewelry armoire, a nice jewelry chest, or a cheap jewelry box, there is something for everyone and every collection of jewelry out there. Take a look at your collection and how you’d enjoy storing them. Organizing and holding all those precious jewels in such a way will make them all the more meaningful and dear to your heart!
